Design Risks

Architects and engineering firms are facing more and more strict legislative requirements, leading to significant complex tasks and processes during the design and planning phases.

Proper and timely mitigation of hazards as torrential rainfall and various types of flooding, as well of the identification and negotiation of fire safety hazards, help avoiding project proposals being objected by local planning authorities.

For most SME痴 it is not feasible to have fire safety and flood risk specialists employed full time, but nevertheless expertise which is needed at certain times during the project cycle.

"Analysis of the following is commendable: recent flood disaster in Cumbria County; clarifying the level of community empowerment with regards to disaster mitigation and reconstruction."
